Julita Cinguina MSN, APRN, FNP, NP-C, CMSRN

Bio:

Ms. Julita Cinguina is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Educator with over a decade of hospital and health care experience. Since 2020 she has been employed as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Manhattanville College School of Nursing and Health Sciences. After holding multiple positions as a Registered Nurse, for the past 6 years she has been practicing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at Yale New Haven Health System. Ms. Cinguina has clinical experience in outpatient and inpatient settings including Acute Care, Long Term Care, Short Term Rehabilitation, Emergency Department, Hospitalist Medicine Service, Community Based Palliative Care, Hospice, Geriatrics, Oncology, Orthopedics, Primary & Urgent Care Clinics, Pain Management, and Psychiatric-Mental Health. She has completed a series of nursing degrees which include Associate Degree in Nursing (2009) from Norwalk Community College; a Master of Science in Nursing (2015) from Sacred Heart University and Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree (expected in 2022) from Eastern Kentucky University. She has also earned her Bachelor of Engineering (1990) from Stevens Institute of Technology with a specialization in Electrical Engineering. Ms. Cinguina is a member of Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), CAPC Center to Advance Palliative Care and Hospice Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA). Throughout her career, she has primarily worked in medical-surgical nursing (Yale New Haven Hospital) as well as Advanced Practice Nursing in Community Based Palliative Care (Anthem), Hospice (Masonicare), Hospitalist Service (Bridgeport Hospital) and Psychiatric-Mental Health (Yale Psychiatric Hospital). She is nationally certified as a Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN®) by the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses and also a Family Nurse Practitioner, NP-C by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She maintains active clinical practice at Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital in New Haven Connecticut.

She lives in Wilton, Connecticut with her family.
