Description: The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking applicants holding a DNP, Ed.D. or PhD in nursing with a background in family nursing This position is focused on teaching didactic and clinical courses in the BSN and DNP programs. This is a full-time, twelve-month, 1.0 FTE non-tenure track faculty position. Additional essential responsibilities include maintaining clinical expertise including credentials appropriate to family nurse practitioner specialty and teaching responsibilities, participating in clinical scholarship, participating in faculty meetings, serving on faculty committees and providing service to the university, community and profession of nursing. This position is located in Gainesville, FL and may have occasional travel to Jacksonville, FL. This is not a remote or online position.

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities for the position include clinical, classroom, laboratory, research, and other teaching assignments in the nurse practitioner programs.  Professional, school and university service, and scholarship are additional expectations.

Qualifications
Qualifications for this position include the following: Minimum of Masters or a Doctorate in nursing with two or more years of experience as a family nurse practitioner (school health or pediatric experience appreciated). Experience in teaching is preferred.  Other requirements include current APRN certification as a nurse practitioner and eligibility for Virginia nursing license. • Assist with quarterly student advisement and confer with faculty and students on matters related to student performance and remediation

• Participate with the Director and program administrator in the writing of accreditation and required UC and/or state and national (CCNE) approval reports for the DNP Program
